A Big Stitch refers to an act of reparation and reconstruction. When erosion in effect takes things apart in the landscape. When human behaviour does the same to it. When a cultural heritage site is on the edge to disappear. When different forces stretch the landscape to left and right. A big stitch is needed, to repair, to maintain, to lift back up.

Around the area of Venta river in Kuldīga, destruction and erosion of the material is discernible; the river slowly modifies the river bank, as well as the landscape around it, while simultaneously built-in structures change and new locations of human built constructions happen, like housing and bridges, forcing nature to adapt. A landscape is temporary. It always changes.

While landscapes are often described as visible features of an area of land, auditory memories become a tool in re-constructing these landscapes where over time things change and get lost.
