Community Work

One of the main focus of Studija is to craft close relations with local community - non-profits, creative initiatives, small businesses and activists. Cooperation has already been established with entrepreneurs and craftsmen from the Kaļķu Street quarter such as: Uģis Kepšs, a metal artist, KOPA restaurant and Raituma krāsas.

Future plans are envisioned together with Courland Cultural Heritage Centre "Kūrava", which promotes folklore, non-material heritage and actively participates in crafting local storytelling.

As part of the educational programme, there is an active cooperation with the Kuldīga Art School, offering artists in residency the opportunity to work with young, upcoming artists, to introduce them to modern materials and contemporary art.
